- 1 pound Ziti pasta
- 32 ounces Marinara sauce
- 15 ounces Whole milk ricotta cheese
- 3 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped(optional)
- 1 pinch Salt and black pepper

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ziti for 2 minutes less than the package directions for al dente.

In a medium bowl, whisk the egg and then stir in the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella, half the Parmesan, and the dried oregano.

Drain the pasta and return it to the pot, then toss with 2 cups of the marinara sauce to prevent sticking.

Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Layer half of the pasta into the dish, dollop the ricotta mixture over the top, and cover with the remaining pasta and sauce.

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top of the dish.

Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned, then garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
