Ingredients

  • 12 oz Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Gochujang (Korean chili paste)(optional)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 6 oz Pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
  • 2 Green onions, sliced
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente, then reserve about 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.

  2. 2

While the pasta cooks (about 10 minutes prep total), mince the garlic and slice the green onions. Pat shrimp dry and season lightly with black pepper if using.

  3. 3

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Sear shrimp until pink and just cooked through, 1–2 minutes per side.

  4. 4

Reduce heat to medium. Add soy sauce, garlic, honey, and (if using) gochujang to the skillet. Toss shrimp in the sauce for 30–60 seconds until glossy.

  5. 5

Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat. If needed, loosen with a splash of reserved pasta water. Finish with green onions and serve immediately.
