Ingredients

  • 10 oz Chicken breast, cooked and sliced
  • 6 oz Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 large Panini or ciabatta rolls
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil(optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder(optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Salt(optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper(optional)

Instructions

    Prep (10 minutes): Slice the tomatoes and chicken, shred the mozzarella, and roughly chop basil if needed. If desired, mix olive oil with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

    Assemble: Slice the panini rolls in half. Spread a little seasoned oil on the cut sides (optional). Layer chicken, tomato slices, mozzarella, and basil on the bottom halves, then close the sandwiches.

    Cook (12 minutes): Heat a panini press or large skillet over medium heat. Toast the sandwiches 6 minutes, flip, and toast another 6 minutes, until the bread is crisp and the cheese is fully melted.

    Serve: Rest 1 minute, then slice and serve hot.
