Ingredients

  • 1 package Shin Ramyun instant noodles packet
  • 2.5 cups Water
  • 1 piece Large egg
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes)(optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Toasted sesame oil
  • 1 slice American cheese slice(optional)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Butter

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring 2.5 cups of water to a boil in a small pot.

  2. 2

Carefully lower the egg into the boiling water and cook for exactly 6 minutes and 30 seconds for a jammy yolk.

  3. 3

Remove the egg and place it in an ice bath immediately; peel once cooled and set aside.

  4. 4

In the same boiling water (or fresh water if preferred), add the noodle brick, vegetable flake packet, and soup base powder.

  5. 5

Stir in the minced garlic, butter, and gochugaru to deepen the broth flavor while the noodles cook for 4 minutes.

  6. 6

Once the noodles are al dente, turn off the heat and stir in the sesame oil.

  7. 7

Pour the noodles and broth into a bowl, then top with the cheese slice, sliced green onions, and sesame seeds.

  8. 8

Slice the soft-boiled egg in half and place it on top before serving hot.
