Ingredients

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour(optional)
  • 1 medium tomatoes
  • 0.25 cup fresh basil
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp honey(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Prep (15 minutes): Slice chicken breasts horizontally to form 2 thin cutlets. Season both sides with salt and black pepper. If using flour, lightly coat cutlets and shake off excess.

  2. 2

Cook (20 minutes): Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Pan-sear cutlets 4–5 minutes per side (until cooked through). Transfer to plates.

  3. 3

Assemble: Slice tomatoes and mozzarella. Top each cutlet with tomato slices, mozzarella, and torn basil.

  4. 4

Finish: In the same skillet, reduce balsamic vinegar with honey (if using) for 1–2 minutes until slightly syrupy. Drizzle over the cutlets and serve immediately.
