Ingredients
- 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20)
- 0.5 pound Ground Pork
- 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
- 0.25 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 1 large Egg, beaten
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 28 ounces Marinara Sauce
- 1 pound Spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, half the garlic, and parsley.
- 2
Form the mixture into 12 to 15 golf-ball-sized meatballs, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- 3
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides for about 8 minutes.
- 4
Remove meatballs from the skillet and set aside; drain excess fat but keep the browned bits in the pan.
- 5
Add the remaining garlic to the skillet, cook for 1 minute, then pour in the marinara sauce.
- 6
Return the meatballs to the sauce, cover, and simmer on low heat for 20-25 minutes.
- 7
While sauce simmers, boil the spaghetti in salted water until al dente, then drain.
- 8
Toss the pasta with a bit of sauce before serving, topping each plate with meatballs and extra cheese.
