Ingredients
- 1 pound Ziti pasta
- 24 ounces Marinara sauce
- 15 ounces Whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 0.5 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 unit Large egg
- 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 pinch Salt and black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 2
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the ziti for 2 minutes less than the package directions for al dente.
- 3
In a medium bowl, whisk the egg and then stir in the ricotta, half of the Parmesan, dried oregano, garlic powder, and chopped parsley.
- 4
Drain the pasta and return it to the pot; toss with 1 cup of the marinara sauce to prevent sticking.
- 5
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- 6
Layer half of the pasta, followed by dollops of the ricotta mixture, half of the mozzarella, and more sauce.
- 7
Add the remaining pasta and sauce, then top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- 8
Bake for 30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned on top.
