Ingredients

  • 200 grams Paneer (cubed)
  • 1 cup Frozen green peas
  • 1 large Onion (finely chopped)
  • 0.5 cup Tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil or Ghee
  • 0.25 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (chopped)(optional)

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat oil or ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds until they sizzle.

  2. 2

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn translucent and slightly golden.

  3. 3

Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute until the raw smell disappears.

  4. 4

Add the tomato puree, turmeric, chili powder, and salt; cook until oil starts to separate from the masala.

  5. 5

Add the paneer cubes and green peas, stirring gently to coat them with the spice base.

  6. 6

Pour in 1 cup of water and stir to combine everything evenly.

  7. 7

Close the pressure cooker lid and cook for 2 whistles on medium heat.

  8. 8

Release the pressure naturally, stir in garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
